The Lake Ozark Police Department subscribes to the Community Oriented Policing Philosophy. Simply stated, Working together, the Police and the Community can accomplish what neither can accomplish alone. Our officers understand that utilizing strategies like Community Policing and Team Management we can address the daily challenges that law enforcement in our community brings. It is our goal to ensure that the many visitors we receive during the summer months feel welcomed and recognize that the department is here to help make their visit a positive one. Our department will set the standard that others will follow in the area of professional standards and daily operational procedures.
As our city continues to experience growth and development, the Lake Ozark Police department will obviously face an increase in calls for service year around. This will eventually require additional personnel; however, our objective is to maintain the highest level of professional service, and this will remain unchanged with the current staff or additional staff allocated by the city.
I am a resident of the City of Lake Ozark and recognize that the quality of life is part of the police department's responsibility, so our team will work hard everyday to maintain an above average quality of life. I have an open door policy and invite input from the public to make suggestions on any issues we face on a daily basis. The partnership that we develop is the key element in the success of our police department.
